The creator of PUBG Brendan Greene made a new hard survival game. You can try its demo now on Steam.
The hardest thing about survival games is staying alive. I’m not good at real outdoor survival because I often get hurt or sick. That’s why I like playing games instead. I usually play fantasy games like Runescape: Dragonwilds and Valheim. But I’m interested in a new game called Prologue: Go Wayback. It promises a tough survival adventure with lots of different worlds to explore. The game is made by Brendan Greene who also worked on PUBG so it sounds really exciting. Now we can try it ourselves.
What is Prologue: Go Wayback? Wayback is a tough and realistic survival game. But it’s also one of three games that lead up to Project Artemis a big and mysterious metaverse world that works like a whole digital planet. Wayback and the other two games are separate from each other. They are made to help test the company’s technology for creating the game world before they make Artemis.
Wayback seems easy at first just reach a big weather tower. But it’s not that simple. As my friend Jamie found out the game puts you in a tough huge world with almost nothing to help you. You have very few supplies and you’re always getting hungry and thirsty. The weather changes suddenly and small accidents can ruin your chances. There are wooden cabins for safety but they’re often farther away than they seem.
Even if you think you've seen everything the first time you're wrong. In Wayback the map changes every time you play. Cabins move to new spots and calm places can turn into dangerous rapids. The weather also changes the land rain can flood dry areas and turn them into mud slowing you down. In Wayback the world itself is trying to kill you.
A new demo for Prologue: Go Wayback is now on Steam. It includes four different maps with fun and tricky places to explore. Try it now and see if you can beat Jamie.
