Silent Hill 1 Remake Confirmed by Konami & Bloober Team

After Silent Hill 2 Remake became a hit Bloober Team and Konami said they are now making a new version of the first Silent Hill game.

Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, Silent Hill 2 and now the first Silent Hill game is getting a remake. Announced at Konami's Press Start event Silent Hill 1 will be remade by Bloober Team who also worked on the 2024 SH2 remake and the upcoming Cronos: The New Dawn. First released in 1999 Silent Hill focused more on psychological horror than action or gore. With Resident Evil 9 just announced Silent Hill 1 Remake is also coming soon.

That opening scene still stays in our minds the alley the empty wheelchair and the distant air-raid siren. Even after 26 years Silent Hill is unforgettable especially the creepy school part and the hospital later on. Right now we only have a short and vague teaser for the Silent Hill Remake but the familiar theme music and fog are clearly there.

Silent Hill 2 Remake was a big hit so it’s no surprise that Konami gave Bloober Team another game to work on. Many expected Silent Hill 3 to be next but instead Bloober is going back to the beginning to remake the original Silent Hill. We’ll share more updates about the Silent Hill Remake as soon as they’re revealed.
