Stellar Reach is a new space strategy game like Stellaris, Homeworld 3 and Civilization 7. It will be released very soon.
Space is a great place for strategy games. Many games like Stellaris, Homeworld 3, Endless Legend 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire 2 use space as their main setting. Some of these games show space in a realistic way while others make it more magical or imaginative. A new game called Stellar Reach also uses space for its story and gameplay. It is a strategy game similar to Civilization 7 and has been in development for a long time by a new studio. This studio was started by James Miller who has worked for well-known companies like Creative Assembly and Ubisoft.
Stellar Reach is a 4X game which means players Explore, Expand, Exploit and Exterminate. The game happens far in the future, where eight different groups fight to control the galaxy. Players lead a powerful empire with advanced technology. Their goal is to take over parts of the universe by exploring the galaxy researching new technology upgrading their forces and building their empire. The game shows the galaxy in 3D on a large map that looks very realistic.
Players can win the game in different ways. One way is by building a strong and advanced empire with lots of important buildings which is called an industrial victory. Another way is by making the empire happy and successful which is called a prosperity victory. The third way is by creating a huge and powerful military force to defeat others known as a supremacy victory. Like many games in this genre Stellar Reach needs players to think carefully and make smart choices as their empire grows. They will manage resources across the galaxy and choose the best path to win.
Luckily we won’t have to wait too long to see how it all works in the full game.
Stellar Reach will launch in September 2025. You can add it to your wishlist or learn more on its Steam page.
