Legends of Runeterra Has a Bright Future Says Riot Co-Founder

Legends of Runeterra is a good example of a game that changed over time. It started as a player-versus-player (PvP) card game like Hearthstone or Magic The Gathering. Although Some players were worried the game was being left in maintenance mode which means it is still online but not getting updates. But Riot has kept updating the game regularly since the change.

Legends of Runeterra More Than Just Maintenance Mode

To celebrate Legends of Runeterra's fifth anniversary Riot Games co-founder Marc Tryndamere Merrill shared a post on social media about the game's future.

Over the last year the Path of Champions has become something special thanks to the ideas feedback and support from the Legends of Runeterra community says Merrill. We have been creating a solid base for future updates like events and ways to make the game more fun and replayable. Legends of Runeterra isn’t just staying the same it is changing improving and preparing for the future.

To me Legends of Runeterra shows what Riot wants to be brave enough to try new things open to learning and strong enough to keep going even when it is hard. The goal to make great things for players never stops.

The new Legends of Runeterra Patch 6.4 added Lux and Leona to the Path of Champions. Their special skill cards were also included.

Riot Games is releasing a new physical card game called Riftbound based on League of Legends. People are wondering if it will connect with Legends of Runeterra but we will have to wait to find out.
