Skydance Games has delayed its WW2 superhero game. The new launch date for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is now early 2026. It was originally supposed to be released this year. but the developer needs more time to improve the game. The game written and produced by Amy Hennig, the creator of the original Uncharted series was expected to be one of the biggest games of 2025.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is set during World War II. You play as characters like Captain America, Black Panther a soldier from the Howling Commandos and a leader from a Wakandan spy network. These characters team up to fight against Hydra a Nazi science division. However you'll have to wait a bit longer to play the game.

Marvel 1943 is being led by Hennig a person who helped create some of the most popular games in the last few decades. She was a director and writer for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2 and also worked on Naughty Dog's original Uncharted games. Later She worked on Battlefield Hardline and Forspoken before joining Skydance Media's video game team.
