Marvel Rivals Players Slam Star Ratings: Character Difficulties Don’t Add Up

Marvel Rivals characters can be a sensitive topic in the community. People argue about which ones should be nerfed or buffed. However the surest way to upset others is by saying that their main character is actually easy to play.

Most characters in the game are ranked by how hard they are to play with five stars being the hardest. However many players feel these rankings are wrong saying that some of their favorite heroes are actually easier to play than the game suggests.

Marvel Rivals Character Difficulty Rankings Are Inconsistent and Confusing

Reddit user KingOfFroggiez pointed out that Mantis is rated as one star for difficulty while Cloak & Dagger are rated three stars. As a big Cloak & Dagger fan I think that's surprising. Yes you have more cooldowns to manage but that means you almost always have something ready to use. Plus Cloak and Dagger don’t need aiming which is a nice bonus.

This isn't only an issue with the Strategists others also mention character rankings that don't make much sense.

Venom has a one-star rating but it actually needs the most aim and awareness out of all the tanks. It's not really a one-star tank says Gardening_Automaton.

Some people think the rankings are based on how hard it is for new players to understand a character not how difficult they are to play in the long run. This helps explain why Cloak & Dagger are ranked the way they are but it doesn’t really explain why Invisible Woman is rated four stars since her abilities are easy to understand even though mastering her is challenging.

We'll have to wait and see if this gets updated. Fans think Mantis ranking is based on her performance in the beta so it looks like an update is needed.
