007 First Light New James Bond Game Reveal Coming This Week

The makers of Hitman IO Interactive are ready to show their new game called 007 First Light. It tells the story of how James Bond started.

IO Interactive the team behind Hitman is making a James Bond game and it makes perfect sense. They’re known for great stealth gameplay which fits Bond perfectly. After a long wait we’ll finally get a first look at their Bond project this week. It’s now officially called 007: First Light.

Most old James Bond video games were based on the Movies either tying in with a new film or recreating famous scenes. Some of these games were great While others were really bad. Surprisingly there hasn’t been a new Bond game in over 10 years. The last one 007 Legends from 2012 didn’t impress many fans. But that’s about to change. IO Interactive is making a new game called 007 First Light. It was first known as Project 007 and will tell an original story about how James Bond became a 00 agent.

That sounds exciting. IOI is well known for its great Hitman games So their new 007 First Light title is high on my list of PC games to look forward to. After months of waiting we’ll finally get to see what they’ve made.

IOI posted on the new 007 First Light X account saying a mission brief is coming soon. The image they shared also says the full game reveal will happen this week. Since the Summer Game Fest is on Friday, June 6 it's very likely that’s when we'll see the game.

I'm excited but just to be clear there's no mention of actual gameplay yet. It might just be a fancy trailer or a bunch of cutscenes. Still it's great to finally see something about the game since we've heard nothing since it was announced in 2020. Hopefully this also means the 007 First Light Release date is coming soon.
