Anvil Empires is a big medieval game like Age of Empires 2. It is made by the same people who made Foxhole. In this game every soldier is controlled by a real person.
People like the big weapons and strong knights in Age of Empires 2. But the real hero is the villager. Villagers collect wood, food, stone and gold. Without them you can't do anything. This is true in other strategy games too. In Command and Conquer you need the Harvester. In Homeworld you need carriers and cargo ships. Strategy means managing both your fighters and your workers. The game Foxhole changed things and now a new game called Anvil Empires is coming soon. It mixes medieval times with strategy and online play.
Anvil Empires is a big game where real players control every soldier and worker. You build towns make things and send supplies so your knights and archers are ready. Players on the front lines fight to protect their land with weapons and battles. The game is part strategy and part online multiplayer. Each fight can last weeks and up to 1,000 players can join in the first tests.
This game is like Foxhole but with swords instead of guns and battering rams instead of tanks. It’s like Age of Empires but you play as the villager The Paladin and the Champion all at once fighting with hundreds of other players. I usually stay calm and serious when talking about games especially ones that aren’t out yet but I have to say this game sounds really exciting.
You will be able to try the Game Soon. The first Anvil Empires playtest will happen from Monday, June 9 to Monday, June 16 during Steam Next Fest. Until then you can find the game and add it to your wishlist here.
