Chernobylite 2 has been exciting since it was first announced. It offers a much bigger experience than the original combining features from post-apocalyptic RPGs like Fallout realistic survival FPS games like Stalker and even MMOs. Launched in early access less than two months ago the game has been improving steadily. Today the first Megapatch arrives bringing big changes technical upgrades and more.

A major change in this update to the co-op RPG is the addition of many new voice lines. Chernobylite 2 originally had a lot of placeholder voices but now the developer The Farm 51 has brought in voice actors to record more emotional and high-quality dialogues.

The tablet in Chernobylite 2 is important for things like maps tracking and more. Before it could only be used in first-person view. Now The Farm 51 has made it so the tablet works in third-person view too so players who prefer that perspective do not need to switch. Now switching between first and third-person views is smooth and quick letting you change perspectives instantly.

Chernobylite 2 brings back the Blaster energy weapon from the first game now with more customization and mod options. If you prefer ranged combat but still want to stay stealthy you can now take out enemies quietly with ranged weapons which was not possible before. The games first boss fight has been made much harder and more memorable and the first main mission has also been improved.

Chernobylite 2’s big Megapatch update is now live featuring new and improved animations bug fixes better translations for some languages and overall stability improvements.

The Farm 51 also shared an updated roadmap for the rest of 2025 leading up to the 1.0 release. They teased more big updates, similar to Megapatches coming soon.

This roadmap includes new weapons, quests bosses, enemies or locations and skills. It also introduces core RPG features like a faction world influence system and a perks mechanic.
