Ubisoft's latest stealth RPG hints that Assassin’s Creed Shadows may include multiplayer or co-op modes.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag is one of the most loved games in the series partly because it had the last full multiplayer mode. It's been 12 years and the competitive sneaking and stabbing from Brotherhood hasn't come back. But that might change. Ubisoft is about to announce what's next for its Japan-based stealth RPG and hidden code suggests Assassin's Creed Shadows might include multiplayer. With two protagonists Naoe and Yasuke a co-op mode could make sense. Let's hope for it.
It’s been just over a month since Assassin’s Creed Shadows released and it’s still one of the most loved games in the stealth and RPG series. With great visuals fast combat sneaky gameplay and a strong story it’s a great return for AC.
Ubisoft has more to reveal. On Wednesday April 30. they will officially share more about Assassin's Creed Shadows future. Before that dataminers found possible proof of a new multiplayer mode in the code of the AC Shadows website.
Bootstrap is an open-source tool for building and changing websites. While looking through the Bootstrap files for AC Shadows modder Sliderv2 found references to multiplayer PvP and PvP maps. These can be seen in the image below.
Remember The Assassin's Creed Animus Hub launched alongside Shadows. Ubisoft seems to be bringing the whole series onto one platform. So the return of multiplayer seems possible. We will have to wait for the developer’s announcement. If you are hopeful maybe Ubisoft will confirm AC Shadows at today’s showcase.
