Barotrauma Horror Submarine Sim Gets Even Tense with New DLC

Barotrauma Home and Harbor is coming next year. The deep sea survival co-op game will get a big new DLC update.

Barotrauma is a game where you control a submarine deep underwater feeling like you’re in space or the dark ocean. You play with friends manage your submarine fight against other groups and face huge sea monsters. You have to work together to finish missions and keep the sub working. It’s a scary simulation game and soon it will get better with a new update called Home and Harbor coming next year.

In the future, people leave Earth and live on Europa, a moon of Jupiter. The surface is covered in ice very dangerous and we can’t live there. So we stay in submarines under the ice. You can choose from six roles and play with up to 16 players on your sub. Together you carry cargo find alien objects and fight scary sea monsters. Barotrauma is a game that mixes spaceship control and detailed simulation with creepy creatures.

If you like this kind of game Barotrauma’s new Home and Harbor DLC was just announced. It will add more challenges to the submarine game. You can control your own deep-sea base or take over others by force. You can build new parts manage characters make workshops, and unlock new things through research. You can also customize your base to make it feel more like home even under the ocean.

The DLC will add a new group called The Descendants. They use alien technology to change their bodies and minds in strange ways. They also bring many new items so it's a good idea to meet them even if they seem a little suspicious.

Barotrauma is changing its faction system. Submarines that move around will help the NPC outposts with their economy. You can trade with friendly ships, fight enemies or just let them go. The NPC groups will also interact with each other on their own making the world of Europa feel more alive.
